At Hindu Worship Society (HWS), sponsoring a Puja or community meal (Prasad) is a
beautiful way to express gratitude, celebrate special occasions, honor loved ones, and
receive the blessings of the Divine.
Every Sunday, hundreds of devotees gather at HWS for Puja, Bhajans, Aarti, Satsang,
and Mahaprasad. We warmly invite individuals and families to become Sunday Hosts,
sponsor religious events, or support temple activities through their generous contributions.
Hosting a Puja is a meaningful opportunity to pray for the well-being of your family while
serving the community through Seva (selfless service).
Become a Sunday Host
Families are welcome to sponsor any available Sunday and host the weekly Puja and
Mahaprasad.
Our respected and highly experienced Pandit Ji, Sh. Bhawani Shankar Sastri Ji, will
perform the religious ceremony and guide the host family through the Puja according to
Vedic traditions.
Families may host the Puja for occasions such as:
● Birthday Celebrations
● Wedding Anniversaries
● Housewarming (Griha Pravesh)
● New Business or Career Milestones
● Thanksgiving & Gratitude
● Memorial Prayer Services
● Family Well-being & Prosperity
● Any Special Religious Occasion
Sunday Hosting Options
Option 1 – Host Family Prepares Prasad
Contribution: $450
● The host family may prepare the Prasad in the HWS Temple kitchen.
● Please arrive at the temple by 9:00 AM to begin food preparation.
● Sunday Puja begins at 11:00 AM.
Option 2 – HWS Temple Catering
Contribution: $851
● HWS will arrange and prepare the complete Prasad on behalf of the host family.
● Host family should arrive by 10:30 AM.
● Sunday Puja begins at 11:00 AM.
This option allows families to focus on participating in the Puja while the temple volunteers
manage the meal preparation.
Host Family Responsibilities
To help ensure the event runs smoothly, the host family is requested to provide:
● Paper plates, cups, bowls (if required), spoons, and napkins
● Puja Prasad (such as Halwa and fresh fruits)
● Puja Samagri (please consult Pandit Ji, as requirements vary depending on the type
of Puja)
Our volunteers will be available to assist throughout the event whenever needed.
Sponsor Religious & Cultural Events
Devotees may also sponsor any of the temple's religious, cultural, educational, or community
events throughout the year.

If you wish to support HWS but are unable to host an event, you may contribute toward any
temple activity or general operations.

As a registered nonprofit organization, Hindu Worship Society (HWS) provides tax-
deductible donation receipts for eligible contributions in accordance with applicable IRS
regulations.
