Cyber Safety & Cybercrime Awareness
As more of our daily activities move online, protecting ourselves from cyber threats has become increasingly important. Online scams, phishing emails, fraudulent phone calls, identity theft, and financial fraud continue to affect individuals of all ages, especially senior citizens.
HWS regularly organizes Cyber Safety Awareness sessions to educate community members about safe and responsible use of technology.
Topics may include:

  • Recognizing online scams and fraud

  • Protecting personal information

  • Safe online banking practices

  • Password security and multi-factor authentication

  • Email and phishing awareness

  • Mobile phone security

  • Social media privacy settings

  • QR code and payment scams

  • Identity theft prevention

  • Safe online shopping

  • Children's online safety

  • Reporting cybercrime and knowing where to seek help

Our objective is to help community members stay informed, make safer online decisions, and confidently use digital services while reducing the risk of becoming victims of cybercrime.
These awareness sessions are designed for beginners and are suitable for individuals, families, and senior citizens.
